I’ve been asked to produce more venom for someone’s amusement.

This is what you get.

I raid primarily 25s at the moment.

My raiding companions are mostly men, we have a handful of women, but the vast majority of any given raid is male.

There is a stereotype out there about women having small bladders and needing to stop car trips every 20 minutes to take a tinkle while men have bladders of steel.

I call bullshit.

Either that, or half the men I raid with have recently undergone bladder surgeries.

There is one fellow in the raid that is taking care of his father and has to routinely stop to fiddle with some dialysis equipment.

First and foremost, I want to say that I have absolutely NO PROBLEM with this. It is outstanding that he is in a position to be able to help his family like this.

He always gives warning, “hey guys, after this pull, I need to go take care of my dad, be back in 10-15.”

But here’s the great part:

NO ONE TAKES A PISS BREAK THEN.

We have a 10-15 minute window where we will be waiting for someone to deal with real life. But does anyone say, “hey, great idea, let’s take advantage of this opportunity to relieve myself/get a drink/balance my checkbook/read the forums/scrounge for dinner”?

No.

Approximately 30 seconds after this guy returns, someone invariably pipes up with, “brb, bio.”

As soon as that individual returns, it’s the next small-bladder on the list that is about to wet themselves.

And so on and so forth until half the raid has gone potty.

Here’s the best tip I can give anyone new to the raiding scene:

If anyone else has an announced AFK, check your bladder capacity. Do NOT be “that guy” that continues the chain of pee breaks. The raid leader should not have to hold your hand and say, “OK, raid, little Timmy has to be gone for a few minutes, does anyone need a hall pass to the bathroom?”

Plan your shit better. Literally.
